ECO HABITATS
PROTECTING WILDLIFE
To enhance your build and meet with planning requirements we can supply purpose built and designed shelters and runs for wildlife. Easy to install, these self-contained units are low maintenance and built to last the lifetime of the wall they’re installed in. Wildlife boxes can be matched to any design scheme whether brick, stone or render.
With a greater awareness of the importance of improving and increasing Biodiversity in the challenge to tackle climate change, these products have been developed to help protected species including Badgers, Bats, Birds, Dormice, Great Crested Newts, Hedgehogs, Invertebrates, Toads, Otters, Reptiles, Water Voles and White-Clawed Crayfish.
The requirements of the Biodiversity Net Gain Principles (BNG) to new developments is a guarantee that a site will have a positive ecological impact upon completion – at least a 10% gain and relevant habitats secured for at least 30 years. Whilst many developers are already working to this standard it is likely to become mandatory in Winter 2023.

BAT BOXES
Their existing habitats are being destroyed through redevelopment or demolition. These purpose-built bat boxes provide an internal roosting and nesting space.
SWIFT BOXES
In the UK the number of Swifts is in decline as their natural habitats are being destroyed. Swift boxes can be incorporated into new buildings or retrofitted providing a suitable nesting site.
SPARROW & STARLING BOXES
Although both are familiar breeds they are in decline. A Sparrow or Starling Box is ideal for the April to August nesting season.
BEE BRICKS
With the number of Bees and other pollinating insects in decline, partly due to habitat loss, Bee bricks provide a safe nesting place for these key insects.
BUG BRICKS
Constructed with a variety of nooks and crannies these are great homes for insects such as ladybirds and lacewings.
CONCRETE HEDGEHOG GRAVEL BOARDS
These wide roaming little spikey mammals are classified as vulnerable to extinction and are on the “Red List”. Hedgehog boards let them pass freely between gardens and outdoor spaces with the added benefit of protecting fence panels from rot.
MAMMAL LEDGES
Mammal ledges allow animals such as badgers, otters and other wildlife to pass through culverts or under bridges whilst reducing the risk of drowning in the culvert or river. GRP ledges provide a long-lasting maintenance free solution for such damp environments.
